In November and December, Sherry was a guest on
Teacher Talk Radio, broadcast out of Atlanta, GA.
The November show focused on her book Vincent and Viola and applications in the classroom.
The December interview centered around Sherry’s The Moon Is Broke Together book.

- Vennlogic, Inc., is thrilled to start a new year in new states!
Sherry will be training in Virginia in March and in Louisiana and Texas in June and July. Welcome!
- Taylor and Flagler Counties were Sherry’s home away from home for most of the Fall 2009.
Taylor County teachers received follow-up training, modeling, and observations, while Flagler County 5th and
6th grade teachers received initial training, with classroom modeling and observation follow-up.
- Key Largo Elementary School received training on the new standards in September.
Sherry is thrilled to be working with Keys teachers again! Glynn Archer in Key West and KLS in Key Largo will
see Sherry again in February.
- Did you know? To date, teachers in at least 25 states plus Ontario Canada have purchased
and are using Numeracy Centers in their classroom! Several districts in Florida have purchased Numeracy Centers
for every single elementary teacher. WOW! The word is spreading. Check out this great resource tool at

- Watch for some new names to old products. In an effort to link all of the Vennlogic products and training,
the following changes will be made with the release of the March 2010 K-5 Kaplan catalog:

The Numeracy Center will now be called Making Numeracy Connections;

The Linking Math and Literature Activity Cards will be re-named Making Literature Connections;

The brand-new Algebra Content Boxes will be called Making Algebra Connections (K-2 and 3-5); and
-
Sherry’s four-day trainings will still be called Making Math Connections.

Folder Games! During her “time off,” Sherry has been writing a complete set
of folder games for each grade PreK through Grade 5. Each grade-level set is aligned to the NCTM
Curriculum Focal Points. A grade-level set consists of 10 folders. Watch the website for information about ordering.

- The new Kaplan/Vennlogic products called Making Algebra Connections are completed and will
be released in March, 2010. Both are ready-to-use teacher resource boxes focusing on the named math strand, and include
specific lessons, teacher blackline masters, student worksheets, and all lesson-recommended manipulatives. There are currently
schools in Florida anxiously awaiting this release as they intend to replace text books with sets of content boxes! More to come...
