The
Numeracy Center Kits, using Kaplan Early Learning Company’s new "Teacher
Stick-It-On Center", support benchmarks and standards in all five mathematics strands—Number
Concepts and Operations, Measurement, Geometry, Algebraic Thinking, and Data Analysis and
Probability. Through focused inquiry using calendar math, a Hundred’s Board, Venn diagrams
and other graphs, place value charts, clocks, and a money pocket chart, students engage in
real-world conversations to reinforce the concepts and skills they are learning during their
regular structured math time. The use of a Numeracy Center is intended to reinforce daily
math; thus becoming a daily math morning routine for students Pre-K through middle school.
